FX Nytro Exhaust

You will like the rattler snow bunjie It has helped me get a sled out that would have taken 3 guys easy doing it the normal way. Takes a few tries to figure out the right way to use it but it works . We have one with the cover off of it because it got a little to close to the pipe and it is 6 or 7 bungee cords together. Not your normal hardware bungee's but thicker ones. Thought about making my own but in the end it was just as cheap to buy the one already made.

Thanks a lot guys. And one last question. I picked up an exhaust turnout just wondering how people secure it to the exhaust. Either with a rivit or a bolt?? Or does it really matter

I would get some good rivets from Yamaha. They are a bit pricey for a rivet but they do hold good, not like standard pop rivets. Or if you have a good supply store you can look for a multi grip rivet there much cheaper, that is the same style Yamaha uses through out the sled. Probably only need 2, 3 at most if it is not tight.

Hey guys, I don't mean to bring this back to life just wondering it I get the trail tank will the low elevation supercharger still fit. Been doing a lot of reading on those superchargers and thinking about having one for next season. Thanks again in advance.

Thanks for all the reply's, i saw those turn outs before but i was unsure of how effective they are. So if i get a turn out and move my tail light will what ever i strap back there be ok from the heat?? I was also thinking about a trail tank, but it is alot of cash so i want to make sure that its a great product before spending that kind of money. Gas is the most important thing, because there are no gas stops for me from point A to B, I almost have to return to my house to gas up throughout the day, and there's nothing worse cause all my buddies have 2 strokes so when the 4 stroke is running out of gas I have to take the abuse lol
I've seen turnouts quiet down a nytro before, my buddy took his turnout off and she became a lot louder.

Hey Guys,

First of all I'd like to say thanks for all the great information on here, This is my first post and i know its about a topic thats been talked about alot but id really like to get some straight answers from some of you guys, because there is just so much information it's hard to go through it all. I sold my RX1 121",last year and picked up a new xtx 1.75, I love the sled. only thing is storage like most people, I would not consider myself a hardcore rider, but i would like to be able to take some equipment with me or some extra gas, the only under tunnel exhaust i can find is the skinz, is that really the only bolt on under tunnel available. I would like to make room for mountain addiction rack system for that way i can take either fuel or anything else if wanted. I am not looking for power maybe a better sound but not anything loud. Just want to know my options, I know some people are using magnaflow exhaust but i do image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg not have a welder or pipe bender so i feel i would not be able to make this my self. Just looking for some help on what i should do with my Nytro, thanks everyone.
I just bought and installed the Linq system can on my apex mtx, amazing product even tho it's from brp :(

Yes the trail tank will fit and you will most likely want it for the extra fuel. The super is harder on fuel then the turbo. One of our riding friends has the MPI super and trail tank on his 2008 nytro so they do fit. Only real drawback to the tank is changing plugs if you happen to foul one. The tank has to come off , You won`t change a plug on the trail like you can with the stock tank. Not that they foul plugs very often but it does happen.

Thanks for the info nitris, cause from what I've been reading about the super chargers that's the only downfall is how much gas they like lol but u need gas to make power so a fair trade off I think. And I don't really want to talk about the snow on the rock. That's how bad it is. I'm currently away for work and won't get home for another week and a half but there's none, not even on the west coast where's there usually lots now. So it's not looking good. I read on the news the avalon might set a record for least amount of snow in December for a long time now.... So I'm not very impressed.

Good if you have a yamaha quad lol

Only if I was so lucky. I was smart enough to get a Yamaha sled and motorcycle but I got a Polaris quad and she could use some work now. Lol

I remember the snow we use to get on the west coast and it seems like it has been hit and miss for the last 10 years and a lot of those years it was more rain then snow. Same sort of crap happening here in Saskatchewan, seems like every 3 or 4 years we get a decent winter and then the next few are bad. Some guys are trying to ride in what we have right now but you have to be careful with rocks and stuff in the fields and ditches. I am not going out just yet, to expensive on ski's and carbides taking a beating . We were off to a good start in November and I had my snow ramp built with the first 2 snow falls and then it turned warm and screwed up what we had. Be lucky we have had 1" since.

newfyNytro the miles per tank will be about the same as what you get now. If say you get 90 miles per tank with the stock 28 liter tank then you would get about the same miles per tank with the supercharger and a trail tank of 38 liters. Maybe you will loose 3 - 4 MPG as a guess. My friend with the SC was running out of fuel the same time the rest of us were on stock nytro's. I have never ran the sled dry but close and I have never done better then 80 miles per tank on a MTX 162. But most of that is thumb and brain control. Thumb usually wins and tells the brain to piss off. I could probably stretch it to 100 miles per tank but that would be one boring ride.
