FX Nytro Flotation Plate Review

I understand why Yamaha wants to cut holes in the plate as to help it not pop off the sled from ice build up...

but I hope it doesnt help force snow into the plate to be turned to ice by the motor

Been to the mountains 3 times this year already and I can see how the floatation plate would help keep our nose heavy tanks out of the snow.

I know this is an old post. Just wondering how the testing turned out. Did the hole help?

Why don't they sell it with the cutouts already there?
