Garmin and Backwoods GPSTrails Maps

How do the the Backwoods GPS Trail maps work with the Garmin Monterra or the Montana.

Just looking for input before I pull the trigger.

Better choice fore use with the Backwoods maps.

Montana 650 or the Monterra, I noticed the Monterra has some issues out of the box.

I have a Montana and so far I like it. From what I can tell, the Monterra is a ruggedized Android device with a GPS receiver without the phone. But it looks like they share the same screen. Although I don't use the Backwoods maps, I would pick the Montana because it is a standalone GPS device and not a Android device trying to be a GPS. and it's cheaper too.
