How much does wind effect gas mileage on a sled?

I have no idea, but would guess that it wouldn't be very much, less than 5% I would say. I was wondering what would be the total range of my sled(08 vector) so I rode it today for 32miles after the fuel light came on and I still could only get 33 liters into the (supposedly) 38 liter tank. If there is still 5 liters in there, then I should be able to go at least 50 miles after the fuel light comes on. It seems like a waste to have the light come on so early.

Sometimes it is long ways to a fuel station and they can be far and few between. That is why it comes on early for the people that like to push their luck. Not everyone tops off their tanks everytime they see fuel. When you are out riding and overlook the fuel level, it is not likely you are going to overlook a warning light.
