Does anyone have an explanation why the gas tank on this sled is only 34l while the cat version is close to 38l.

I cant imagine they would make two different molds. Has anyone looked to see if a cat tank would fit on an SW.

Riding buddy has a SW and his fuel window is incredibly short. Reminds me of the nytro before the trail tank.

Same tanks...dont pay any attention to the YAM specs.

You have to jump up and down like a monkey on the rear bumper to get the air out of the tank to fill it all the way.
So Yamaha lists a smaller tank and doesn't tell you in the manual to act like a monkey on the rear bumper!

Lol. You have to do the same thing on the vipers and doo's as well to get the tank to burp.

So you guys that are filling them up get a feel for the tank size, it is closer to 37 l?

That's a far cry from 34. Cant believe the marketing guys are sticklers like that.

It is closer to 38L

Sucked out the gas from my tank several times with a cheap hand pump from Canadian Tire. More than likely I didn't get it all. Usually when filling back up it takes 38 Ltrs without burping.
