Has anyone filled there sidewinder up? Haven't gotten mine yet but am curious on the size of the tank. All the 2017 snowmobile pamphlets I have say the sidewinder has the same size tank as the viper 10 gal but on Yamaha's website it now says the tank size is 8.9 gal.

Wonder if the SW tank will need to be "burped" to get that extra little bit in,like we did on the Viper??

The tank will hold 38 litres (10 USGallons) with burping it. 36 Litres if you don't. It is the same size as the Viper.

how are you saying this when their website says 8.9 gallons?

I filled the tank and measured it. The paperwork on the Vipers says 8.9 Gallons as well. The paperwork for the sidewinder say that the tank is "rated" at 8.9Gallons. It's probably EPA required BS.

looking back at spring pamplets and website both said 10 gal now yamaha website says 8.9 so what gives or is this another subject to change?

But why does it say 10gal on the website for the viper but now says 8.9 for the sidewinder? You think if this was the case they would both say 8.9 or 10?

Couldn't tell you, I don't work for Yamaha. But why does it say 10gal on the website for the viper but now says 8.9 for the sidewinder? You think if this was the case they would both say 8.9 or 10?

1/2 the stuff was wrong on the site for the SideWinder. I would not expect anything to be correct at this point. But why does it say 10gal on the website for the viper but now says 8.9 for the sidewinder? You think if this was the case they would both say 8.9 or 10?

Just need to make 100 miles on the throttle. Then I'm happy. My Apex makes much more even on long sweepers to the bars.
