has anyone had trouble seeing their gauge pod after doing the OFT steering relocate upgrade. I did and had my over temp indicator light come on without seeing it because now the gauge pod is too low for me to see the warning indicator lights. I stood up to stretch and then saw the light was on.
Just wonderinf if someone might have had this problem and come up with a mount plate that raises the gauge pod. If so, can you post the dimensions of the plate? if not, I will be using my CAD system here at work to design one and then post it for others that may have the same problem.

X2 that's what I did and it works perfect.buy the mountain tech vent, relocates the gauge cluster for perfect viewing and will also keep your temps down..
Plus it's a great goggle warmer when you stop.

I see a purchase in my future!
Does Mountain Tech have a website I can buy from directly?

Their website says, "This option combines the IP Vent above with the vent mounted Gauge Bracket. The bracket mounts the gauge in an almost OEM position, but is angled up slightly for better visibility when standing. Quality stainless metric hardware is included to complete the install. The wiring harness comes up through a rubber grommet engineered in the IP Vent as seen in the picture above." So it does not move the gage pod up it just sets it back at a different angle. I am only 5'7" so when I sit on the sled I can't see the warning lights now on the gage pod. Do you think the new vent mount will work or do you have the steering post mount?

Hmmmm, I'm 6'3", I mostly stand, plus I have a 2" rise seat.. So I have no issues viewing it..I also used to have temp light issues..Since I have installed the vent kits on both my nytros the temp light has not come on...Maybe you would be killing 2 birds with one stone???? The temp light is a warning light and it comes on way early, the sled will shut down before it gets too hot..When ever my temp light had come on in the past, I would just ride harder and it would go out..

Hey let me know if you figure something out that works. I have the same problem, except I have an rtx. With the straight bars I cant see my gauge at all while sitting, and im 6ft. I was looking at the mountaintech one and don't think it will raise it enough for me. I was going to wait till the summer to figure out a new mounting solution.

I used mountaintech's gauge relocate bracket, brings the gauge up on the riser makes it very easy to see. This is where it should have been located out of the factory! Only bad thing about this deal is you have to extend your wires about 11 inches which takes a little time, but is well worth in in the end.
just my 2-cents worth

Can you see it while sitting? I think I might have to order this. I would rather extend some wiring than not being able to see the gauge. The rpms numbers are just so small, and I cant really justify spending 3-400 on a vector gauge.

I have one on top my 2" riser with steering relocate. Can't see the idiot light due to handle bar bag. Standing or sitting.

i also got the mountaintech relocation bracket that put the gauge to the steering bars
Really love it.
as per extending the cable, you only need to do this if you have a riser or a mtx.
no problem for my xtx with cr racing relocation.
