Any tricks to getting smoother clutch engagement, particularly at low speeds? Instead of smoothly engaging, mine seems to grab, which makes things like tight maneuvering, getting unstuck, and graceful starts difficult. To use a manual clutch on a car or motorcycle analogy, instead of engaging like a properly-feathered clutch, my CVT clunks and lurches once upon initial engagement, like with you pop the clutch at mid-to-high RPMs.
Per the tachometer, mine seems to engage between 3500 and 4000 RPM, which is within spec, per my shop manual.
I own several ATVs, and this clutch engagement is definitely different from them. If there are Nytro clutch mods to get a more controllable and smoother initial engagement at lower RPMs, even if this might mean a loss of top end speed or acceleration, I'd be interested.
I was wondering if this harsh clutch engagement is common, and if so, any techniques (besides never slowing below 15 mph) you can suggest. Thanks.
