I'm going to be selling my 2009 Supercharged Phazer RTX and need some honest opinions on the value as I might be too emotionally attached to the sled. Here is what it is:

2009 Yamaha Phazer RTX with MPI supercharger with adjustable boost 6.5lbs to 10.5lbs. I have AEM gauges (1 water, 1air/fuel digital, 1 Tru-boost digital). To my knowledge I have one of the very few s/c sleds with adjustable boost. I did this in case I did not have race gas around. The kit was installed by Hauck Powersports in Wisconsin along with a 128 inch extension and 1.5 inch ripsaw track. Sly do skies and bogy wheels with Hy-gear triple rate spring, torsion bar spacers and aluminum four wheel torsion blocks. I think they upgraded they chain at the time of install but I'm not positive. It also has a graphics kit by Blown Concepts. I'm sure there is a lot that I'm leaving out. All told I spent somewhere in the neighborhood of $8000++ on all the upgrades plus the cost of the sled. Am I in the realm at $7000-$7500 or should I be higher or lower??

Miles are 2900

Are the classifieds on this Forum a good spot to advertise this? I would appreciate some honest feedback on value.

Thanks

Great looking sled.
Very clean and well equipped.
As a one of a kind sled so it has a great deal of value to a buyer
As for price, I think your a little low.... Based on your upgrade cost alone
You should be asking for that as you only have 2900 miles.
My brother got 5,500 for his bone stock 07 Apex with 6k miles
And it looked nothing like your sled.....
Finding the right buyer may take time but don't give it away unless your strapped.

Stock 09 sleds are selling for 5k-5.5k. I realize you don't get any measurable return rate
On modifications but when a package is solid and has the cool factor like your sled
Along with very low miles....
Then it's worth something. Just need the right buyer.

In Canada we use kijjiji and auto trader...not sure how good this site is for selling exposure but it won't hurt.

Good luck.... To bad you have to sell.

My opinion - you'll never see $7k out of it. It's a phazer. The stock ones around here (MN) are listed for 3500 - 4500. The mod ones don't really have anymore value unless you find that person that is looking to build the same sled. Sure the extras have some value, but not as much as they cost and the roi is terrible on mod sleds. If you decide to sell it, I might be interested, but not at 7. I just bought a turbo one and wouldn't mind another boosted phazer as the lack of weight is nice compared to the turbo apex I ride now.

Thanks for the feedback. I've decided to throw it up on E bay and let the market decide what its worth. Probably not the best time of year to sell(end of season) but I can always post again next season..
