Found an 05 Warrior, blue, studded track (96 center) with cover and 390 miles, $7000

Should I buy or not?

thx

Peace!

I don't know your area at all, but you should be able to do better, at least based on what I know about $$$$ in the U.P.

Local dealer had an 05 Warrior with 600 miles and it was marked $7900. It's been sold. Not sure if it sold for that much but it was probably pretty close as my dealer is hard to deal with. I'm guessing $7400.

Another option just arrived...

2004 Warrior, 1400 miles, black, saddle bags, 196 woody's, 8" dual woody carbides, cover, mirrors, shock covers, and silver/yellow side panel covers. $6500 obo

Is it worth $6200?

In the New England area, $7000.00 Seems pretty decent. I go for a 05 at 7000.00 before I went for a 04 at 6500.00.

Well, I don't know...... I have had my 05 RX1 for sale at 7,000 firm for about a month now and it may sell tomorrow. Mine is spotless with1500 miles and most of the mods on here done. It's also getting almost all new 06 suspension parts installed. I feel the 05's if in like new condition well maintained with low milage, cover, belt etc.... is worth 7,000. The 04s still had the pro action suspension and were heavier, but with the long track the suspension isn't as much of an issue. My .02 cents

if you have to finance you maybe be able to get a better overall deal (interest, warranty, etc) on the new one.

It does seam like the price has stabilized or maybe even come up on the 04s.

These are warrior's i am comparing, not rx-1's. I didnt think their was any differences between an 04 warrior and 05 warrior. Am I wrong on this?

IMHO, I wouldn't pay this for an '05 Warrior, unless it was to a dealer who is going to stand behind the sled with warrantees.

My dealer is asking me to pay in $5900 against an Attak (taking my '04 Warrior in trade). If you work it out, he is only valuing my machine at $3.5K, as I can pick up a new Attak for around a grand off list.

I paid $8399 out the box for my machine back in '04, and I doubt that anybody who can negotiate would have paid more than that in '04.

So, you're saving at most $1400 over what a new one would have cost you last year. You're losing out on a year warranty.

Typically a vehicle loses at least 25% of its value when you drive it off the lot, regardless of mileage.

Number one, trading in sleds is a losing proposition EVERY SINGLE TIME. The dealer doesn't want your sled, they never do.

Number two, there is no way that your sled value drops 25% just taking it home. 15% - 20% tops. A brand new Apex GT that you pay 10K for ( I know that's too much) doesn't drop to being worth only $7,500 after the first ride. It would still be worth $8,000 - $8,500 easily. Well, provided the hand warmers work. Sorry couldn't help myself there.
