The lake is large,(75km) and very deep(over 400 ft in most of it), also a source for hydro power so the levels are allways up and down.
And we dont get a lot of really cold days to cool the water down to freeze it ,only in the coves and places out of the wind will it form ice.
This morning its -26 and tonight its going to +1,not good for making ice.

It is a big difference,but now its going to snow tonight(20cm),and for the next 5 days (5-10)each day.

Nice pics. I hope is snows heaps cos I'm coming home this week after being away for a few months for work. Its going to be my first ride this winter...can't wait...
