I have a 02 660 and it won't start. I use to be able to play with the switch on the handle bar to get it in just the right spot to start it. Now I can't. Is there a way to bypass the switch and only have the key?

power has to flow through that switch for the bike to start and run if i remeber correctly. odds are you can just take it apart and clean up the contacts to fix it. q-tip and wd40 works well. that is all i do with my motorcycles.

Thanks maim. I was worried about taking it apart in our cold spell with frozen brittle wires. But I took a hair drying to it then took it apart. The spring in the switch was broken. Good Togo now

A friend of mine fixed his spring in his kill switch with a spring from a pen.
