Here's some figures on ground pressure for the '08 VK Pro
Width of track: 20" Length of track on ground: 47.4" Ski dimensions: 36" x 7" x 2 skis
Total area on the ground (snow): 1452 sq in. Dry weight: 750# Loaded dry weight with driver and passenger (300#): 1050#
Ground pressure empty: .52 psi Ground pressure loaded: .72 psi
Ground pressure for PistenBully Scout, empty: .60 psi, loaded: .78 psi
Ground pressure for Lite-foot Snow Cat, empty: .50 psi, loaded: .78 psi
Ground pressure for both full-track snow machines are very similar to the VK Pro
It would be interesting to compare other sleds.

Here is a sled with dual 20 x 156 tracks with a claimed .38 pound per sq inch ground pressure but heaven help you if you ever roll the thing into a tree well.
