Hi All
My 2007 RS Venture, 17000km, 10500 miles sled is acting up.
There seems to be a growl and slight vibration between 6000-8000 RPM. It also lacks power in that range. It starts and runs fine.
I've cleaned the primary as best I can without splitting the clutch. My neighbour, a Polaris Mechanic, thinks the primary clutch is fine. I've cleaned the secondary and changed the buttons. I changed the exhaust o-rings, because they were literally gone. I tried a different belt also. I adjusted the track tension, and checked the chaincase tension.
The lack of power, and growl/vibration is still there.
I'm going out right now to check the Jack shaft and Drive shaft bearings for play. I'm then going to install a brand new belt and test drive it.
Any suggestions to help me nail this problem down?
Thanks
Roger
