Anyone who have tested a gt against the fx? Know that the gt has higher gearing than the fx. Just wondering how the fx would be with gt gearing... Will I loose accelration or....? Only fx and mountain light in my area....

I bought a gt and was thinking about gearing it the same as the fx, I am also currious about what I would gain in the lower end. 50% of my riding is very aggresive on the trail and 50% is breaking a trail in powder? My Buddies all have ski doo 600 REVs. Anybody have an opinion?

I ordered the 19 tooth gear for my FX - kind of a cross between the stock 20 of the GT & 18 of the FX. Still waiting for it, currently on backorder.

Very happy with the GT gearing, saw 140 km/hr today. Wouldnt change it to the FX gearing, I am happy with my low end performance.

How does it perform uphills in some powder? does it spin the track or is it dying out?

that's interesting, let us know how you make out, tryed to do a comparision if you can before and after

Hoping to do comparison between 18-19-20 top tooth gears. With clutched FX and 18/41 gears clutches fully locked up saw speedo indicated 98 mph @ 12,100 or a little over 87 mph actual speed on snow packed road running 1/2-3/4 mile. With 18/41 gearing low end response is great and it gets to 70 mph fairly quick.

RX-1 top tooth gears will not fit due to different shaft diameter.

Let me know if you find a 19t gear - I ordered one 2-3 months ago & it's still on backorder. If you find the 20t works best, I may cancel the 19t. No snow here to try it either way.
