At first I thought the GT windshield was goofy, but now it has grown on me and I ordered one. I love the red on the RTX but didn't want Floats. I had to change that low windshiled on my SX because of the way snow blasted under my chin. I am thinking of getting an ER windshield and painting red chrome to put on the GT. Anyone else have any other windshield plans?

I have a GT coming and hoping to find a Attak screen thatr would look good. I know there will be many aftermarket shops jumping on that ;)!

High bling bling on that GT shield, so it would be good for the TY photo shoots LOL. But in reality it is a wind ornament and not a shield :D

Those windshields helped sell many sleds.

Next year everyone will be complaining.

For me its great.....I dress warm and like the air movement.

Look at the REV X windshield!

DITTO !!!

Looks great!

My 2000 srx had the low windshield and it did not bother me so I figure the RTX will be just about the same.

Looks nice, but useless, the '07 would be the sled to buy and everything wrong with the '06 will be fixed at that time.

If you think like that then you can't buy new sleds, at all. Because sleds gets better every year..

I know, but several complain on how Yamaha missed this and missed that. Of course there are little improvements along the way.

Low windshields are nothing new. Every OEM has them and yamaha has had low windshields for many many years. Some people like them and some don’t. There will be many optional windshields both OEM and after market so definitely won’t be a problem with the current 06 offerings. Personally I like the low windshields and will install hand guards to keep my hands out of the wind.
