I've been soooo happy with my new Vector this year, I can't even believe the season is over for me. I had to go out to the garage and start it up one last time before I drain the fuel tomorrow.
This is the first sled I have owned that hasn't made me want to go out and revalve all of the shocks for a better ride. The ride of the mono and the front suspension is MINT in my opinion. I still can't belive how good it rides.
This is also the first sled I have owned that I have virtually no complaints about. Wind protection and hand warmers when temps drop below 10deg F is about all I can complain about at this point.
3200 miles on the original hyfax, yes I added Doo wheels before I even rode it. No darting with the ski shims, lands flat, is amazing in the bumps and is perhaps the most stable sled I have ever been on when the bumps get really nasty. I prefer the heavier Vector over any lightweight twin I have been on, since the weight seems to keep the sled more planted and stable instead of bouncing all around.
I simply LUV it! More fun than any 120hp sled I have ever been on.

Here is a pic of my hyfax after 3200 miles. Notice the 1.5" of static track deflection I am running. No ratcheting what so ever.

I got 2100 miles on my ltx, with stock idler wheels, so I cant complain, I am going to put on some different wheels for next season, see how many miles i can get on set of hyfax, The only thing Im dissapointed about is I dont have any snow to ride on anymore

Lots of snow here yet, too bad my sled is in for a new head and exhaust valves. 3 weeks for parts, so it must be a common problem. This is my first and last 4-stroke.
I would say it is a very uncommon problem, roger.
Not many dealers are going to stock such items either.
believe me ,if others had the same problems you have had with your RS motor, it would be posted all over this site. Its not like when Ski Doo runs out of pistons and rings due to repete failures on several of the motors.
Hope they get it worked out for you.

Roger,
I'm surprised by your sled needing new heads and exhaust valves. I wasn't aware the Vec 120 had exhaust valves. Do you mean exhaust doughnuts by chance. I've had this motor in both an 05 vec and 08 vec ltx gt. Loved them both. My wife rides the vectors and they have both performed flawlessly. I love my attak as well but have had significantly more maintenance (not repair) issues.
I'm curious as to why the head went? Could you let me know just in case there is something I should be looking out for.
Thanks

It's possible that the sled was abused or ill-maintained.

I think you are confusing exhaust valves and two stroke exhaust power valves.

Do they know what caused it? And, are they warrantying it?
As far as reliable goes, you should read Hondos post, he has 35,000 on and 05 Venture and still going strong, With no motor work.
