I just pull the cover over the top ofthe guard, the flex a little but all of the Yamaha Covers have a nylon strech top that allow it to pull over them easily.
But no, they dont fold down and they have to be un bolted to remove.

Those mirrors might be blinding you at night with someone behind you with the headlights aimed at them.

The gaurds in Mr Sleds pics are mine and he was nice enough to post them for me. They are black chrome, not chrome. They don't really look like it in the pic but they are actually like a gunmetal color. They look awesome in the sun. The mirrors are decent size and are convex. The part number is 14255 and they come in a pair. I don't really know how good you'll be able to see behind you, but you'll be able to see a headlight no problem. It'll sure beat turning around to look. The backing that the mirror is attached to is like a wedge shape and can be rotated to change the angle of the mirror for adjusting it. I'd really like to have a pic of them installed, but my sled hasn't showed up yet. But that's another thread.lol

How do you figure?! Isn't the point of a mirror to see if your buddies are still behind you? Why would they blind you any more than any other mirror setup? I had the touring kit (low cowl mounted mirrors) on my 05 RX1, and they were pretty much useless, because you couldn't see anything with them.
