Has anyone installed Power Madd hand guards on their 03-04 RX-1? I have a pretty well stock RX-1 Mountain and I want to install the Power Madd hand guards but there's talk that they don't fit very well and they hit the windshield.
Can anyone give me some clarification on this?

Hand guards hitting the windshield is a valid concern, but they should flex enough, without cramming your hands. The higher the handlebars are, the less it becomes a problem. OR The lower the windshield is.
I'm looking at switching from Sportech to PowerMadd guards. They offer more hand protection and a better mirror placement than OEM, except for the Venture mirrors. IMHO: Sportech has the better mounting system though.

I have them on my 05 with the taller shield and they only touch when you yank the skis all the way to one side.

Can someone post pictures of where they mounted theirs? I'll be doing an install next week. Thanks in advance.

With the powermadds on my wife's RMK; I had to slide the controls in and mount them between the controls and grips. On my RX-1; I used Sportechs and they mount on the inside of the controls.
Here's pics of the two.
