Which handguards do people like the best? I have an Apex 2006. Any part numbers and where you got them would be great help. Seen all kinds but don't which fit the best with all the stuff on the handlebars. Thanks

yes i have them on mine. and had them on my 07 as well. also the mirror kit fits on the same mounts love them too.

I just ordered the wind shear Yamaha ones off eBay for $55. Part # SMA-09HGC-BK-00 I have read a lot of great reviews on them. They strap on easily and come off easily.

I hated them because they limited my ability to grip the end of the bars for me that is where my hands are most of the time. I think i gave them away or sold them cheap. have two buddies that liked them for the most part so maybe you will too.

I wanted something to run on real cold days. I like that they can be put on or taken off and shoved in a bag really easy!

that was my thought too not much glove room either if you ask me. felt like my ability to get to the brake was hindered.

there is no mounting hardware it is just velcrow

It is everything you need. Like I said I read a lot of good things about them but everyone has their own opinion. They make them in different colors too. I got the black/carbon.

This is what they look like...

I like the Powermadd's plus the extra extensions (top black part) that snap in to make them bigger. I've had the soft hand guards but I didn't like them. They attach to the end of the bar and get in the way when you want to grab onto the hooks.
