Hey guys, quick question. I have a 2010 Nytro RTX SE. I am looking at getting a lake effect handlebar riser and was wondering how high do most people go and how high a riser can I put on without affecting the wires and cables? Thanks

I put on a 4" lake effect riser AND the OFT Relocate, I had to move 1 cable, because of the relocate...I think it was the throttle cable. Someone will know...

But it was the perfect position for me, I'm 6'3" and standing was perfect and sitting was good too with a 2" seat riser.

So you can go 4" easy, I went closer to 6" I think...but not sure if a straight 6" riser would work though, cause I had the relocate in the mix too

I dont think my throttle cable is long enough for a riser. I put a roest vent kit on it with the guage cluster mounted on the steering post and it's just long enough turn to turn. Im thinking of ordering a mtx cable if I get a riser.

The xtx has a different handlebar and riser setup than the rtx. So you may be right, I dunno if you can raise the xtx without extending the cables.

We put a 3.5" on by buddy's 2009 XTX. We did some cable rerouting and it worked good.

I did my XTX with a 3" riser and the QFT relocate, shes much better now! No cable issues, just rerouted them a bit thats all.

The Stock riser on a Nytro RTX and RTX SE is roughly 2 5/8" center to center. The tallest riser I've ever tried on my RTX is a 4 1/2" but I'm pretty confident the 5" would work with no problem. Any longer I think would require addressing the cables.

Nytro XTX handlebars stock sit on a 3/4" tall base plate mounted to the steering column plate. I sold alot of 2 1/2" risers for the XTX last year and had no problems other than once in a while the throttle cable might have to be slightly re-routed.

As far as adding the OFT steering post relocater.? I don't think just adding the OFT locater alone will affect the cable length much, if at all, because its just changing the arc of the steering column. But the OFT does naturally raise the bars.... My guess is maybe 1 to 1 1/2". (the guys from OFT could answer this question more accurately, infact the info might all ready be on TY if you do a search?) So you should keep this in mind when choosing that 'sweet spot' height your looking for.

I am working on a 3" riser right now and maybe even a 2" before the snow flies. This would be for the guys that don't want to go taller but like the look of our riser or want to install a Ram Mount ball.

Superdude you do some sweet work, love those risers!! I'll likely be ordering a riser from you this fall. I just have to get mine together with the relocater to see how high I need to go.

Do the risers for ski doo sleds still use the stabalizer bar in the middle of the riser? I think that makes it a lot stronger, I like the idea of that.

I had the black/blue on my nytro, it is awesome. I felt bad covering it up with my handlebar bag!

Im thinking the steering post guage relocater must eat up a bunch of cable length. Looks cool and gets the guage cluster in your face though.

Thanks farmer I really appreciate that. Yes the Ski-Doo's still use a center post The only difference is ski-doo risers are about 1" wider than Yamaha. And because of this I use 2 pc. caps on top instead of the 1 pc. cap for the Yamaha's. Also skidoo has 1 or 2 electrical harness conectors under the rubber handlebar pad. So I figured most everybody would want to keep the stock pad and cover up those wires. Unless something changed for 2011 XP ski-doo's have a 4.5" stock riser height. I've heard that 7" is the Maximum you can go with stock cables. I will have 7" risers up on my website in probably the next 30 days.

Thanks everyone for all of your input. Looks like a really great product. Just wondering, is there any discount for forum members or maybe even a summer time sale?
