Just wondering how tall of a riser I would be able to put on my '05 RX-1 without having any trouble with cable length?

Interesting. I put a 2 inch riser on my '03, rerouted the throttle cable to take advantage of any additional slack and it pulls and accelerates the throttle in a full right turn. Only by a few millimeters, but it still pulls it. I ordered an '05 mountain cable.

Not sure if your '05 is the same length as the '03, but I'd assume it is.

Ive put a two inch riser on my 03 shorty and did not move or adjust a thing. Ive ridden over 200 miles so far this year without a problem. Their is plenty of throttle cable to do a two inch rise w/out modification!!

Thanks trailertrash. I'm somewhat mechanically inclined and was wondering if the TORS induced backfiring during cable stretched right turns was simply my imagination.

Thanks for the info. I think that I might try a 3 in rise on mine. Since I am 6'4", I think that a inch more would be better.

i put a 3 inch riser on my 04 rx-1 and the stock throttle cable was a little snug.i put a mountian cable on and that solved the problem.

I put a 2in riser on tonight on my 04 warrior and when turn hard to the right it pulls. I have tried re routing it every which way with no sucess so I am going to put a mountain cable on and go with a 3 or 4in riser I went with the 2 so I could use the stock cable but I can't get it to work

I have a 05 Warrior with a Rox 5" ARC riser along with protaper 1 1/8" fat bars with a 2.80" rise. Its about 3" higher than stock, but it is also at least 2" wider that stock if not more.
