I did not use extensions because I used the Apex motor, harness, bars and riser.

I installed the 07 handlebars on my 03 RX-1 with a 4 inch riser, without cable extensions.

I have a Power Madd 3" riser on my Warrior with '06 Apex bars. Didn't need extentions for the cables at all. I'll upload some pictures tonight.

can u use a pivot and a 6 inch riser with straight bars with no extensions?

I have a pivot riser and 8" powermadd riser with fly racing flat bars and the only thing I had to do was to use the thorttle cable from a 05 RX-1 mtn. Otherwise everything else fit without a problem.

Went with all 05' mountain cables just to be safe on my 03'. Went with rox 5'' incher and cat flat bars. Feels sweet!!! Please mr ups, i need my parts its snowing!!!

You might be able to get away with using the stockers, i decided on going with the extra length to be safe. The cables arent that much $$$$. I ordered them all thru port yamaha, they advertise on here and have been helpful.

Ill let you know on thursday when i put them on. Mr u.p.s is going to be seein alot of me next week!!! They come from a yamaha westcoast warehouse. But the feel is sweet!!! Not to high or not to low. Its only about 1' higher than the stock height if the bars were pushed up.
