hey guys

here's my problem, when I accelerate while turning the front end washes thru the turn. stock ski's, woody's carbides limiter straps suck up a little about 1/2 inch showing on the eyelet side, transfer rods set to least amount of transfer, fra set to the lowest position. preload is let out on front springs. the only thing I could'nt set up was the center shock preload which is way to stiff (previous owner) locking ring is seized. there is no control of stering when you so much as touch the throttle while turning.. HELP :o| :o|

See if you have the longer swaybar links. I just installed mine and it helped a lot. They would be the ones for '04 and up and they cost about $35. Also, I put the Bergstrom shim under the back part of the ski.

o.k. the swaybar is stock I should probably upgrade that also. these shims do you have a web site?? also any ideas on carbides when it comes time for new ones what do think.

Set the FRA to maximum, that'll help hold the back of the skid OUT to increase ski pressure. Install 130# or 140# straight rate front springs, 13mm swaybar, 04 swaybar bushings, 04 swaybar links (not long-03's since they won't fit the new bars).

Loosen the front spring preload to ZERO. DO NOT increase the pressure on the front springs.

AND GET THAT CENTER SPRING LOOSE.

Also, you might benefit from the extra bite of double-bar skis, get a pair of simmons and some bergstrom wearbars.

Do that and it'll ride on rails when you power around corners.

The first thing I would do is search for the post by LasyBastard called "All Suspension Update" or something like that. In that post he states the suspensions settings and they work.

Second, look into a set of aftermarket skis. Lots of people on here use Simmons Flexi Ski and C&A Pros.

Third, remember to keep some throttle when going through the corners.

Yep

thats what I'm shooting for, but that damn center shock locking ring is stuck, everything else is going to be very similar to LB 'S advise. I'm going to take the center shock out after this weekend ( leaving tonight) and try and fix it with the least amount of damage to the ring. just bought a set of woody's ultra's and for next weekend swaybar and links and then we'll take it from there. Oh btw what a pain in the #$%&* it was to remove the hyfax's the screw's came out just fine ( lucky me ) but I could'nt get those #$%&* to move, damn near had to peal them off.

very pleased with the power. just need to work on the handling issues.
thanks to everyone for there advice, without this web site who knows what kinda mess I would have made

To get the faxes off. Lay the sled on its side, pull the screws, get a screwdriver and pliers, pry off the fax at the front through the window, peel back. To put the new ones on, use a wooden hammer and some oil.

thats what I did , except I used a spray slicone on the new hyfax's worked pretty good. I tryied to remove them the proper way :o| , and thats when the beast in me came out LaLaLa and they came off.

just is'nt worth the aggrevation, I know there going in the garbage so why bother. just thought I would see if they were going to be difficult and of course they were. murphy's law in effect.

going to step away for couple of hours, I'm at work so I should do something to make the boss happy ( no not that either) thanks for your help. chat more later.
