Hi guys,
I have a 06' apex rtx with everything stock but the CA Pro skis singles in the front. I have noticed that on the trails with nice groomed trails that the apex is a bear to turn. One of my buddies jumped on it and went threw a hard turn and was scared that it had steering lock or something. this is my first sled so i thought that it was normal. Are these sleds naturally hard to turn or known to have heavy steering?

The C&A pro skies are known for that.

Any recommendations? Or should I stick with what I have.

I had C&A's first and I hated them. The sled was way too hard to turn. I put a set of pilots skis on after that and it was like having power steering!
I have a set for sale if your interested!

I run Curves with Slim Jim Dually and they work awesome in all conditions... could use a bit more bite in the powdery snow but 100% better over stock...I have heard of using slim jim dually on the C&A, that may help but I would get more input from others before making the investment.

Have any of you been using the new Tuners on the older Apex models? If so what are your thoughts?

i had c&a's on my 07 apex rtx and i shimmed the rear of the rubber mount a 1/4" and the steering was a lot lighter and handled great you may want to try that won't cost you anything

I had C & A's on my old 2 stroke Viper for a season. They worked well in the UP of Michigan in the sugar snow, turned on rails like a slot car. I found them to be too aggressive for riding back home so I sold them. I then switched to the SLP Powder Pros. Those are very good all around skis. They work good on Apex/Attak models too.

x2, I have C&A's on my Nytro and it really turns hard. Like them off trail and on powder trail, but on hard pack, you feel like your steering is froze up. For trail riding, I would change them or at least as stated above, try and shim them first, won't cost anything but some of your time.

One of my Tuner's cracked last weekend with only 500 miles on it. Not happy about that... It's in the tip and I don't even remember hitting anything.
