Hey,
My cig adapter keeps falling out so I need to hardwire power to the sled. Anyone have detail on a good location...., pictures would be great.

I have used the booster cables for my Optimate charger and was looking for a different location.

Also I would like to keep the cig adapter functioning.

Thanks in advance!

Is it the female side that is loose or just the male side of the plug? You could tighten the fit of both and then use a Y-plug or 3 way plug. I run my GPS and heated shield without a problem.

Go to Can. Tire and buy the female end of the cig plug with the cord on it. Hard wire that to your battery with an in line fuse. Plug your end in under the hood, wrap it with black tape so it doesnt come apart. Now run your wire up & out the bars and connect to GPS.
I'll try to get you some pics if your interested.

Thanks for the reply's.

I ended up wiring the GPS directly to the battery, thru the booster cables. No probs so far......
