Has anyone put a different rear skid in the pro

You're probably correct because everyone has their own definition of "riding hard". He has maybe 4000 miles of riding in four years. Most of the riding is grooming a few trails, hauling loads of fire wood in a large Otter sled and getting in and out of our remote camp. He does put some miles on when taking long trips on the ITS trail which can be rough at times. This is where I cannot keep up. Time will tell if the VK out lasts the Bearcat for durability. No real problems so far on either machine. The VK is MUCH better looking which counts for something.

Suspension Tuning

Still trying to keep the suspension from bottoming. Have install large telfon bushing on the control rods. Drop the the rear suspension in the mounting holes just to give ground clear when breaking trails. Still bottoms with any weight in the rack.

On the Pro there are 3 mounting holes for the rear H frame. Two are vertical aligned and the third is set further back towards the rear of the frame and somewhat in the middle of the forward holes. Has anyone tried install the frame in this hole and what were the results?

Yep

Yes Sir!! Wouldn't miss it -- fourth time.We are not racing VK Pro this year. I hope I don't regret it. Racing something smaller, slightly faster but colder -- Nitro. Wish Yamaha would fix the issues and I'd race it again

Right on. I Guest Team 8 is on AC M8. Dave and I jumped ship and went to a widetrack. We are tired of being stuck. Same issue though with skid concerns. Those blue suits will keep ya warm hey. Anyway we will see ya real soon. Can't wait.
