Has this happened to anyone?
Take off the seat. There are 4 bolts holding on the plastic shrouds under the seat - 2 bolts back by the tail light, and 2 on the seat frame rails closer to the tank. Well, I started to take the plastic off - done this several times before to block off the tunnel and install a different silencer - the back 2 bolts came out no problem - but the front 2 bolts BOTH spun the nut that's inside the seat frame. There's no way to get at these nuts because they are inside the frame. Aparently they were supposed to be welded inside the frame and both welds gave up.
These have never been tightened beyond the normal torque spec. So what's up with this?
Any ideas on a fix?

I had this happen to me to. But for me it was my first time ever taking off the rear plastics and there were still broken. What i did was cut a little slit in the plastic to take it off but i was keeping my plastics off for good.

I herd about this from some one so the so the first thing I did last year anti seez all nuts and bolts around the exhaust area. you can cut the plastic around the bolt and pull it off. when you put it back on just push it back in there.

I had this happen. I drilled a hole in the side of the frame; just big enough to squeeze a couple mig weld shots onto the nut. It worked great. I then welded up the hole by working the welder back and forth; grinded it flat and repainted black.
The best thing to do to prevent this is to put very little torque on those bolts because they'll break the welded nut extremely easily.
