I received my Hauck clutch today and the first thing I did was polished it.
The Hauck clutch uses all Yamaha tuning parts, correct?
Looks very nice by the way :!:

Hauck Clutch
Yes the clutch uses Yamaha oem parts. Wieghts, pins, rollers and springs. It comes with 14.5mm rollers. It is very smooth running and stays very cool to the touch. I am very impressed. You can tune the belt clearance and the engagement by adding and substracting shims to the spider. Very nice setup. I don't know who designed it, if Pat did he did a very nice job.

It may look good but it's no HRP or Reactor. I'd watch and inspect that clutch closely after every ride.

ps 800. I left shortly after you, the 1108 tow truck ran good so it's off to the owners.
right after you split we sheared of another MICRO BELMONT REACTOR CLUTCH, CLEANED it off at the splines, Wish they would hex it like hulings, It would be far and away the best out there if they did. this is our 3rd failure this season. time to re think. JUST THINK IF ISR WAS A SPASTIC ABOUT THIS AS THEY ARE ON CLEATS.

I think Allen who is a respect "PROFESSIONAL" Grass dragger knows what he's talking about.
Allen I appreciate your help and knowledge even if others don't!!!!
That's why I bought a "screw on Reactor Clutch"

No reason for me to go into detail, that subject was discussed on another thread by JT, him and I had an in-depth conversation about this a few weeks ago. Safety, Safety, Safety, some people fail to see it. The funny thing is Hauck doesn't even use this clutch on his own race sleds, that's how good it is.
Here's the post Judah, read up, it's only touched on briefly but it explained somewhat. If you want a better explanation feel free to email me aulmer@yahoo.com

Clutches
JT & Allen. If you are going to slam a product, then I think you should provide some actual incidents of failure to substantiate your claims. Not just I talked to this guy who said it was no good. I am not ? your ability to race, but that alone does not make you an authority on the Hauck clutch. Have you owned one and has it failed? Rather tanh condemn it or any other product, why not express the virtues of the ones you do own and like? Allen, I have seen you sing the praises of the ST wieghts. Why do they fail? first the heelclickers and now the Hammertimes?
If the Hauck clutch has any problems, I will be the first to let others know. So far I am very impressed with it.
As far as the post I copied on the Micro Belmont clutch, I have known Gus for years and he is a very capable tuner and builder. If he is having toubles with the clutch, it isn't do to negligence on his part. I think the safety thing applies to all clutches not just the Hauck Billet Primary.

Judah Ben-Hur: did those hammers come apart? while you were running the sled?
