Doing a solo run today before meeting with buds when about 35 miles out, doing 10-20 mph on a hard acceleration heard a big noise and grinding sound. After a lot of cussing I checked it over and found my drive shaft had snapped.Thank god for cell phones because I was right beside a road. While waiting for a truck to pick me up I had plenty of time to think and realize there is over 15,000 miles on my 06 gt and has no major problems and never made me walk and i'll put a new one on and be good for another 15k.The son-in laws sled which is a twin to mine is at my place and he had other things to do so use mine he said.So back out I went and the trails are flat, hard, wide and begging to me to put the hammer down.On the old rail [ bed which is 50 miles long ]with the hammer down, tac at 11,000 and speedo past the 110mph and there was a big bang and a lot of fish tailing on the back and after 300 yards I got stopped to find the track had blown off .The heat exchanger is leaking, exhaust is damaged, mudflap is done and a lot dents and scraps underneath.Had to call the truck again!!! I think I should have stayed in bed!!!
Oh well there is 1 more sled in the shed and tomorrow is another day.

The guy that hit the tree was from Renfrew Ont. area, which is 1 hr. west of Ottawa. Was in Renfrew today picking up a new track and heard that he was dead before he hit the tree? Went to Timmys with the Son in law who's sled I blew the track off of and prepare him for the viewing tomorrow.
Also bought some lottery tickets to help pay for all the damage!!!
