HEAD LIGHT AIM on The NEW APEX

There are pretty good directions in the owners manual on how to adjust the headlights....But you would think a GOOD dealer would have taken care of it ;)! ;)!

I noticed last night when I come into a corner and let off the gas, the throw you over the handlebars slow down process of these 4 strokes is so drastic that my lights shine straight down in front of the sled, I plan on adjusting them up a bit to see if it helps. Has anybody else noticed this?

If your lights on low beam still seem high, there is a good chance the headlamp assembly is not on correctly. There are two little tabs under the lights that slide into the top mounting bracket for the headlamp assembly. If you don't get those two tabs in correctly the assembly sits on top of them and much higher leaving a bigger gap between the rubber boot under the light and the air box. Had the same problem and that was the fix.

I adjusted mine up..

on low they are too low... and at high they are too high...

They are definitly not as good as the Rx-1 head light.. I even tried 2 sets of bulbs.. made no difference!

Which bulbs have you tried, Did adjusting them up help? I put some silverstars in and like the light they throw, just need to fine tune the adjustments I think.

Just a photo of tabs mentioned previously.

I had silver stars first... went back to the stock bulbs.. they are brighter.. but still not as good as the RX-1.... (Rx had a better design)

I swapped mine out for SilverStars. The alignment seem s perfect, before and after the change.

I find the SilverStars MUCH brighter, and they have a nice cool color too.
