I'd like to take off the headlight unit and replace it with a flat piece of plastic, has anyone done this?

I was thinking I should use polycarbonate sheet, cut it to shape, then clip it on and heat it with a heat gun to get it to take the shape of the hood.

Also, any recommendations for lights which I could bolt onto the outside of the plastic which would be reasonably roll proof?

The mountain fit hood looks really cheesy to me, the styling is not what I want at all.

That's exactly what i'm looking for, hopefully cousin vinny can get it done in the next few weeks, if not i'm going to make my own.

I cut a piece off my buddies vector hood after he trashed it and zip tied it over the hole left from the headlight delete, but I'll be running a diamond-s setup this season.

emailed him but no response

Anyone else get a hold of the guy "cousin vinny"on Snowest about the delete fix? I pm'd him but he never replied? Is he actually making this piece and when will they be ready?

If I was staying home I could of made that in a week for you guys but I'm heading over for another back to back winter in the states soon.
If I was you guys I would find someone that sells polycarbonate sheeting then use a heat gun to mold it to fit.

Mark, go with the trail tech hid lights they are unreal(very bright)

What kind of lights are those bummerman?

Mark

the lights are walmart specials wired in to the high beams. I went to piaa lights mounted on the handlebars for this season since the old ones where always covered with snow which made them crack from the moisture and freezeing.

Money bags

Man Powdermuncher you must have some coin the way you buy the best! That's cool man glad you do but some of us poor guys need cheaper alternatives then the high dollar Mnt.Mod offereings.......LOL. Shipping would be a benjamin from Canada to Alaska let alone the price and Mnt. Mod is quite proud of their offerings. If you know anyone in the Yukon with Apex parts for sale keep me in mind! Your hood does look nice but we need an affordable alternative to remove weight!

Bought it in Summer with the seat -- buying at the right time = sweet deal.

Made a list in spring and bought all my mod stuff for big discounts in the

summer---It's not big money --- it is smart shopping....

Anytime I buy cheap stuff I end up buying the good stuff a bit later anyway

so instead of spending money twice I save by doing it just once.

If you want you can always have stuff shipped here to my address to save

shipping, there are always people going to Hains that could drop it of.

cheers.........
