09 nytro xtx, 8 inch slydog powederhounds, mbrp silencer, ulmer racing clutching, fast track studs,cr10ek sparkplugs,
A friend and I were riding this weekend and a stud ripped out and put 3 small holes in thefront exchanger on his nytro,i changed one of these on my old sx and it was a major pain.has anyone done one on the nytro?we got him back up and running using jb weld.what do you guys think do you have to pull the engine to get this thing out?i no we will most likely have to remove the track to grind off some rivets, maybe he should just ride it the rest of the season the way it is with the jb weld, the holes are about the size of a bb for a air gun.

From what I've read, the Nytro is practically built around that heat exchanger. I think by the time you get the heat exchanger out, you are left with a huge pile of disassembled parts!

An experienced welder (tig) should be able to do the job. Pull the skid and then take the sled to him, will be a lot easier than taking the exchanger out.

What we did on my old 700 was drain the coolant, pull the rad cap, and take a torch and heat up around the pin holes and then quickly tig them shut. Worked like a charm. Be sure to pressure test it before putting the skid back in. Let it sit for a few days to check.
