I'll likely take your advice and run the wires from the battery. But I hate removing the air box on the Vector because of the short vent line that connects to the bottom... Pain in the butt.
But I guess it's the best option.
You shouldn't have to remove the airbox, unless a previous owner moved the jumper/charging cables. They should be in the wide open, clipped to the frame in front of the oil tank.

On the airbox hose, follow it down to where it connects to the engine.....pull it off there. Learned that on this forum!

I am about to ad the ring teminals to the battery direct, but want to add a Fuse....
What size fuse will be sufficent?, 7.5A, 10A, 15A?????
The other thing I noticed, is that the wiring I have to wire direct, has quite small diametere wires...does this sound right?
Any input is helpful..
Thanks

So how did you connect to the stock jumper cables?

Never had any issues with the standard vector acc. plug wire using either my SnoForce elec shield or the new BFD mod II shield. On my Nytron there was no acc plug so I went direct to the stock Battery charge plug with a standard battery charger ext cord for $10 and fuse holder to a custom dangler plug on the bars old skool style.

I have both of my rx1,s tied into the headlight circuit for what 7 years now with no problems. Its the blue wire with a white stripe on the rx1's anyhow.

I have both visor wires hooked directly to the battery with fuses on my '10 RS Venture. The air box is not a big deal.
