I have 2017 sidewinder 137 . I am looking for the next heavier size or two torsion spring part# from Yamaha or Cat.
I am 230lb with gear and always ride with the Linq 4 gal gas with luggage bag. I have the BOP 4 slot adjuster and run it on 4. thanks!

How much stiffer do you think they are? The 129 springs will fit on 137 chassis?

Yamaha#8JP-G7474/473 this is the same as AC#1704-576/577 these are what is on a 2014 129" Viper/7000. I would say at least 10% stiffer. I never did find the actual #rating just the specs. Most of us switched to your springs for more sag and softer ride with shock valving.

I am pretty sure I have some of the stiffer 14 springs. I am not in the shop today. I can also get you the rate info on them.

Cover postage, plus a small tip, and I'll send you a set.
AC# 1704-576
PM me your name & address. Will send out in a week or less.
Paypal when you receive and they work. Tip at your discretion.

On Cat side. it's very difficult to find actual spring rating (in pounds). Usually you have to go by wire size and compare it to what you're replacing. Obviously thicker wire = stiffer spring. I could only find physical dimensions for 1704-576/577.
1704-576/577 = 0.405" square wire size. 94 deg. angle between long end and short end. 18.5 = length of long end.

I got springs from a Crosstouring 9000 (the 146 long track with extral fuel tank in rear).
Made a world of difference one of the best mods i have done! I now have my adjusters on softest setting. I am 180lbs Its great when carrying luggage and fuel or even 2 up. I think these are heavier than the 2014 options listed above. They were definitely thicker visually.
