Has anyone been successful in loading their Heavy Hitter weights to shiftout fully with stock spring on Appex?? I've had my loaded to 67gr. and can only get it to about 1" from top of primary. Sled is geared down to 23 on top. Seems like can't load the tip enough despite the rpm being right around where it should be. What full shift load spring are you using?? How does a spring with 10kg. less full shift load affect the grams of weight used to achieve full shift??

With hh,s loaded to 68 grams running an advant-edge 41/35 roller with stock springs at stock settings I get my primary to run about 1/4" from the top on my attak. Is the primary slipping near the top? Your primary clutch should be smooth & shiny all the way thru the shift. Anywhere the faces look darker is usually a sign of belt slip & your gonna need more weight in that area. Also with hh,s loading the inner too much will pull away force from top end & cause poor grip on high speed.

I ran 1/2" allen in the heel, any more than that I agree seems to detract from top end performance. The belt seemed to be slipping with Dalton 52/42 and all secondary springs I have tried. Where the belt stopped shifting on the primary sheaves appear to have a light grey color indicating belt slip-this is approx 1" from top of sheaves.

If you are getting good belt squeeze on top the primary shive should be real shiny at the top. Even too much inner hole will hurt top end performance but it will have a wicked 660' pull. You might want to try stock secondary spring ; remove some weight from the inner hole & add some tip weight. There is a gazillion different ways to set up hh,s for different types of riding. For good top end you might want to try tuning em from the tip working back towards the heel adding as much weight as the sled will allow to pull peak rpm,s. low end pull won,t be as good but top end will be about as good as it gets.

My 660' is awsome with this setup but at 70mph it hits a brick wall and not much left after that. Right now I have it maxed out for hardware I can throw at hole #2 and #3. Both are loaded to 7.4 grams each, I can't go any heavier at the tip. Sounds like my only solution is to go to a lower fulll shift load spring. 100-110kg. total force load???
