I have a Phazer GT. It's quite a work out to ride it in twisted trail.
I think there's too much pressure on the ski. The steering is heavy.
Is there a way to correct that with shock adjustment?

My Venture GT, which is much heavier machine, steers much lighter than the Phazer GT.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I loose the limiter strap by one hole. Maybe I'll try loosen 2 holes

It's stock skis, and I change the carbides to Woody's single 4 inch carbides.

try jacking the skis off the ground and turning the handlebars to make sure nothing is binding up

i know if you go play in deep snow, the steering freezes,i usually feel the rubber covers to make sure they are not full of ice, happened twice this year on the wifes phazer, both times it was after playing in slush on the lake

i would check to c how tight the front shock is in the rear suspension

everyone that rides mine always says its wicked easy to steer

Is it easier to steer if the preload in front shock of the skid is increased?
It was in the position 1 (softest) and I put it up to position 3. It should take some pressure off the skis, right?

i have always been told that the tighter the front shock more ski pressure but my buddy was reading his manual for his nytro and it said the opposite. soo...... someone elses input on that would be nice

The tighter the front shock spring is the harder it is to compress giving more of teeter totter affect. As the spring is tightened it will take pressure off the skis b/c the front of the skid does not compress as easy when you put weight on it.

finally, the steering is light now.
front preload of the skid is now at 4 (stock at 1).
limiter strap one hole looser than stock.
Rear suspension of the skid is set at soft.
ski suspension preload is stock at the softest setting.

I'm getting some push when cornering, but I don't mind that. I don't ride aggressive.
I weight about 135 lb.

I think the darting will be less with less ski pressure.

Thank you all.
