Anyone try Heel Clickers set up in their Apex's last year. Had them in a Polaris and they seemed to work well.. Thanks

They work very well but you really have to be carefull with them. Inspect your belt every ride & if it is frayed change it immediately or the belt will explode taking out the hc,s in your primary also causing mega damage under the hood. The stock clutching works extremely well in a stock sled after about 500 miles.

If it's the same as the RX1 clutch, just make sure the wieghts don't touch the clutch housing when fully engaged. I think some blew up because of that, I took some material off of mine just to make sure and haven't had a problem. They work for me.

I have used every thing that randy sells and i have given up. His ideas are great and have merit, but he doesn't do enough field testing for quality control. Almost every thing i have used has left me high and dry. It is great when you are starting out on a 1500 mile trip and your the guy to beat but you end up being the laughing stock 800 miles away from your truck and now you got to buy a stock clutch from a dealer and you've already got one back home. This happened to me twice and i for one am not going to let it happen again just so i can be the lead dog on day one.

I was trying to tune a set of HC'ers with a roller secondary on my Attak. Randy was helpful the first two times I called him, when I called him the 3rd time with my results and questions, he pretty much told me to Pee-up-a-rope. With that.... no positive references, or $$ spent from my pocket for his product line. As said earlier, the Stock set-up is pretty darn good!

I have to assume that Randy is the owner of Super Torquer Systems which builds the HC's??? If so I'm not surprised at the comments here, I found that "when" they answer the phone, they are not very friendly or pleasent. They have absolutely no PR or customer service skills. The product however has worked for me.

The product performs fine. Most guys use a helix that is way too steep or a secondary spring with not enuff side force. Do not follow the recommendations that come with the weights cus most of em are way off. In order to make the hc,s work as they should you need to do a lot of testing with timing lights or against another sled.

My experience with Randy involves his Ski doo stuff, based on that alone Id never use or recommend anything he has to offer, he ruined ALOT of ski doo clutches with his crap. IMO he's nothing but a fast talking snake oil salesman pushing poorly tested garbage on unsuspecting suckers. All it takes is a little friendly debate from a customer who understands clutches to bring out his true colors .

I would go along with exactly what TURKS comments are. In addition we always use the Hi-Tech 911 clutch cover to stabalize the clutch under the high torque loads generated with the turbo. But, Heel Clickers work-plain and simple. Not to say others don`t.

Wow...My Viper (at only 5500km on the odometer)munched it's pto piston and took out the cases, crank and jug while it was spinning. This happened 1500km after I installed the SuperTorquer. I just had the engine redone for my wife and as a spare sled.
Should I be re-installing the stock kit?
My Yamaha dealer assures me this is not what caused the con-rod to rip from the crank and bend like a pretzel but.......
