Hello everyone, I am new to this forum, just wanted to introduce myself, I live in Northern NY along the canadian border, have been riding sleds all my life. I usually can be found on tug hill area, or cranberry lake. I have had a few sleds in my days, started out with a 1968 Bolens 293 Sprint, then moved up to a 1971 Moto-Ski F440, I then went a long time without a sled of my own, but got back into it about 6 years ago with a 2005 Yamaha Venture, then traded that for a 2008 Apex GT 40th Anniversary. I sold the GT this past spring with an anticipated move to Florida, well the move never happened and with winter fast approaching I felt naked without a sled, so this week I purchased a leftover 2011 Apex SE. I have yet to ride an SE and am hoping that it will serve me as well as my 08 did. I have some other hobbies to include Private Pilot, Boating, riding my Harley Davidson. Hope we get a good winter. Thanks

Welcome "aboard!" You'll be happy with your 11. It will dart like crazy without some snowtrackers, but other than that you're going to be a happy guy..........

Well we have something in common, my first sled was a Bolens sprint (my father was a dealer ) and after many other sleds in my 40 years of riding I to have a 2011 Apex that I bought late last season but was still able to put 1800 miles on it. I love it, as I'm sure you will.

I still Have my Bolens Sprint, although it doesn't run anymore, someday I would like to restore it. Its amazing, I think that the engine in my Apex weighs as much as my entire Bolens. lol

Welcome aboard. Research some handling advice on this site & you'll be happy &/or obcessed...

Why the heck would you want to move to florida? You can't sled there. I love winter and am likely moving north from CT.

Welcome to TY Duramax! You'll quickly find that these boards are by-far the best source of information that you could ever find in one place. Congrats on picking up the 2011 too!
