Was loading up sleds for weekend, The 700 started first pull and off I went. Now my probelm the rage statrted but died before warming up, now will not fire at all. Held throddle open and cranked, what the book says, Still no fire Was going to pull plugs, never seen any connecters like this.

Anyone help? :yam:

Sometimes if you have been or the dealer has been starting your sled a lot the plugs will get wet and you will need to change the plugs on my first 03 RX-1 I probably started it 30 times for people to hear it and eventually fouled the plugs. The spark plug caps are actually coils you should disconnect the connectors on top of the coil and then just pull the coil out it takes a little effort. You can also pull the coil out with the wires connected but be careful not to pull too hard. Change the plugs with the wrench in the kit and you are good to go. Start it with full choke and back it down as the revs increase.

Good luck and don't worry...

Sounds like a TORS System problem. Give the throttle cable some extra free play and see if that changes anything.

thanks

Thanks guys,

I did figure out the plugs tops and they were wet ,dryed them off , installed them. when I try to start the thing went nuts, The starter would not stop, turned off key, hit the stop swicth, and still the starter was engaged. Had to remove air box and pull batterey cables off to get it to stop. Called the neighbor down and we pulled it on trailor ,I will be at dealer when he opens in morning. I really like the 4 stoke concept but never had any trouble with my SXR700. :yam:

Wow! I've never heard of anyone having these types of problems. But I suppose anything, can happen to any sled, at any time.

Good luck and hopefully your dealer can solve it for you.

Well the dealer changed silinoid and adjusted the tors .. seems to be fine now. he said that had never happended before as far as he knew.

First ride, Rage is fixed after the problems , rode for 100 miles this weekend, snow was not the best but logging roads were very nice. Seems alittle tippy but not bad, power is awsome, no noise and no smell. Gas mileage 18 on first tank ( approx).I told the wife she could have it if I did not like and would ride the SXR. But Had to tell her that she was rideing the SXr for a couple more years
