Hey Guys,

Hopefully one of you can help with this. I changed the track this off season and was maticulous with order of parts and pictures. Put it all back and followed the directions, or so I thought. I could swear it had reverse the first time I ran it and tested it all. It is currently set to the 27mm spec for the top rod and i believe has no free play on the side rod. I can shift freely from fwd to reverse and it does beep.

Is it possible that the linkage still needs an adjustment or is it more likely that I goofed something up inside the case? There are no weird noises, sled ran great all weekend long with the exception of this. I don't want to go to the bother or removing the whole lot again if it just needs an adjustment.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you didn't get the shift fork aligned in the groove on the bottom gear. Does it shift into reverse easier the ever?

That is the trickiest part is getting that fork into the gear while sliding the cover on. When shifting you should feel it pulling that lower gear if its too easy you need to pop the chain case cover just about a 1" off get that fork back in there and slide it shut and your good to go.

The beeper will work no matter what its just a switch mounted on the handle.

Good luck

That would make perfect sense, the shifter was in the reverse position going back in and was very tight when i first tried going into forward. Thanks for the tip and quick reply.
