I just bought a 2011 apex se with the rear 1 piece air shock took it for a small spin yesterday it was fine but rear suspension was a little low so today added air pressure to 165 lbs but when i got to riding area rear suspension was flat down???? lifted machine put 180 pds and let it down for it to go to bottom again. Am I doing something wrong? is shock finished? what should I check Pls and thks

Sounds like a bad o ring on the main body of the shock itself or the schrader valve is leaking. I’d be looking for a used KYB out of a regular mono suspension to replace that thing. Travis at Barn of Parts likely has a used one you could purchase.

Bonjour neighbor!! I agree with Stubby sounds like main body of shock or schrader valve. If you can get the sled into a warm place you can take some warm soapy water and apply to shock body and the schrader valve to see where your leak is. The schrader valve is where you put air into the shock (same one like on a car tire). If it is leaking there they do make a tool to remove and replace that valve. Pretty much any auto parts store will have the tool and the valve. Just make sure you reduce the air pressure in the shock before you do. I see Hygear does make a shock part #70108-RA for 900 bucks. If the shock is leaking from the main body might be worth asking if it's rebuildable? Could save you a buck or two. Let us know how you make out.
