working on the clutches last night, finish up and start the sled to make sure everything was good. Shortly after starting it I heard something fall. I look down this two inch bolt is sitting on the floor next to my left ski. It looks fairly unique given the grade but after 30 minutes of looking things over I couldn't figure out where it came from.

anyone know where this bolt goes? its 2" long and looks alike a grade 9.

thanks

All the shock bolts were there (both front and rear). the screwing thing is that the bolt fell to the ground when only the side cover to the clutch was off. You would think if this is from an engine mount it would fell into the belly of the engine. I thought maybe the grade 9 would lead me right to the location

Can you see all 4 engine mount bolts?

With flanged head, it looks like a suspension bolt to me. I'd check front lower A-arm, shocks (already mentioned), or sway bar link.

Check for two silver bolts above the clutch cover. Should be three total, one brown, and two silver. The sub-frame mounts there.

Rod bolt, lol.
I'll be messing around with mine tomorrrow. I'll look and see if i can match it.

ended up coming from the cross bar holding the bottom of the limiter strap on the rear suspension

thanks guys appreciate the help

good find before the season.

man how did that thing get out?

What the heck was it doing inside your clutch panel and, or engine compartment? Unless i read it wrong?

Ohhhh, i see. My dad found a rear skid mounting bolt from my old Rev behind his garage at the cabin.(where i park my sled during winter) Must've fell out the second i shut it off!? lol.

Speaking of working on clutches, i use to have my Doo and Polaris ones off almost every ride or two just to try new stuff and clean. I bought a puller for my Phazer the day i picked it up, still in the package. I blow them out, which is real caveman cheezy i know, but besides secondary buttons, i can't see a real reason to mess with it the way it's designed.?
If i do, what do you torque the primary bolt to?
