I just installed new 9 tooth involute/extrovert drivers in my 03 RX-1..But now I have a clearance prob. The extroverted teeth are hitting on the front bar/shaft the mounts the susp. to the front of the tunnel.(same cross-over piece that front skid shock mounts to)..Anyone else have this prob.? Come to think of it. I installed the Maxx.Perf transfer rod adjusters and had to use the front bolt holes to remount the tranfer rods to the skid..Did that change the geometrics enough to throw everything out of whack?

Is this a Mountain sled? I thought the RX1 had 9 tooth drivers and the Mountain sled had 8 tooth. I also know that the moutain sled does not have tunnel protectors. Also (I think) you can't put 9 tooth drivers on a Moutain sled whith the 2" lug track, but I'm not sure.

The extrovert drivers need to be machined down to clear the cross shaft. If you get the drivers from Wahl Bros. they will do this for you. I have an M-10 in my RX-1 and the cross shaft on it is much thicker than the stock skid. I had to take the extroverts down even further to clear the shaft, but they should still work fine........Craig

I think it's only about 3/16" at the most. You could probably get by with less on a stock skid. I didn't actually measure but when I ordered drivers from Wahl Bros. I believe they said that they take off 1/8" for the RX-1 and I had to take off another 1/8" to fit the M-10.

Thanks Guys!

Hey thanks guys.I got it all straightened out. The new drivers are in,studs track and susp...I had to mill off 3/8 of an inch to clear.Still plenty to drive the windows though plus the involute drivers.I'm gonna try her out on Sun...I'll keep ya's posted!
