I am riding my sled and notice my lights gettin dim, so I ride back to trailer and my guages display dies and the sled will not build over 8000 rpm. and is makin a chokin noise when I give it full throttle. I did some testing and figured it should be the rectifier so I replaced it with 1 Igot from another member. Checked resistance to stator (.19-.24 ohms) at 3 white wire plug in that goes to rectifier. All seems to be good and my battery still won't charge while running. What could my problem be, wrong rectifier? The one I had looks identical to the one I replaced it with but they both have FH001 printed on them but one then has 3.5 151 and the nother has 2.7 231. Oh yeah I have an 04rxwarrior stock. This also happened the first time I rode without the bar pad on because I put a mtn strap on.

If I want to ride it in the meantime can I unhook all lights, guages, warmers and ride it as is just using the battery to start it.

This is really upsetting me because this is the best time of year to ride in my part of the world. I just wanna ride!!! :o| :o|

sounds like a short somewhere. could be battery, chaffed wirring, or broken filliment in one of your hedlite bulbs. one filliment brakes off on one side and touches second filliment, causing a short. can burn regulator/rectifier if run this way too long. hope that helps!
