I was doing my mcx nytro install last night and installed the headshim. I slotted the gears so the cams are back where they should be. The exhaust is right on but the intake is a little off. The gears also have 2 markings on them that were parallel with the block before I started this project, my question is are they supposed to look like that now?? If my timing is off how do I get it back to where it should be? I knew I should have let someone else do this.
Btw this is at TDC and everytime I made an adjustment it was always TDC.

You should used a degree wheel to be on the safe side . I did the same thing but was off by 6 degrees until dave told me how it was done with the degree wheel.Turn it over with your hands a few times to make sure nothing is hitting.Good luck man.

Looks like your intake is off. The intake cam should be retarded with an increase in lobe center degrees. You need to double check that your tdc mark is lined up on the flywheel and your mark on the intake cam will end up a little left of the mark on the cam cap. If your cam mark is on the right side of the mark on the cam cap, your off a tooth. DONT RUN IT THIS WAY. It will increase your dynamic compression and you'll detonate.
