Ok, I know its been asked but please confirm for me anyway. I stacked 3 yama gaskets on 03 rx1. I slotted intake cam sproket .8mm. When I line up the TDC on the single mark (not the 2 marks that are connected by the line that goes in an arc) my intake is pretty spot on while my exhaust is just a teeny, tiny amount aft of the mark.

Am I using the right timing mark and does this sound correct to everyone as far as cam positions?

It isn't that bad so far.....just remember that when you pull the head off....set it next to the sled, put the gaskets on and put the head right back on. Don't flip it over like I did to clean valves and have all the lifters come out!!! Also, I pulled the entire top frame out but you don't really have to, just loosen it and move it up when you pull the head.

With having lost some of the buckets out of the head you will have to check valve clearance and reshim as necessary. You probably already know this, but I thought it better to mention this just in case. Yes you have the right mark and if you are that close on the exhaust cam, it will be fine.

Thanks, I did check clearances but it is so hard to tell on gauges that thin I will probably take it in to the dealer to do.

Oh, and I was talking to Dave at powderlites and he confirmed the single line vs the other 2 lines (which he said are for setting the timing...not TDC).
