Help Needed Choosing a Track/Extensions

I believe the 16 inch wide track will fit, and the 1" extra 137" track will fit too, cause there is enough extra in your tensioners to tighten it up. ( I have a 121 on my 120")

But you'll have to switch drivers to 2.86 pitch drivers. Avids are about $265, and I think Wahls are closer to $180.

I wouldn't bother with all of that.

There are a ton of guys oncluding myself that will swear by the XTX setup... I've run Cobra's on all my XTX's, and after having a 40th RTX Nytro, I'll still say the XTX is just as manuverable, if not more, and probably even a bit faster on the top end.
Finding a good XTX skid shouldn't be that tough, and not to mention, keeping it made of OEM parts doesn't hurt when youre in a pinch and need parts?
I don't personally have any mountain experience, and honestly I'm scared to (for fear of a HUGE mountain riding infection and $$$ :}) , but if you're an occasional mountain rider, I know the topic of a deeper track on the XTX is a viable possibility without sacrificing one sled for another..

The biggest problem you face is that because you use studs you won't be able to remove the tunnel protectors you'll need to find a track that is notched for the protectors or notch it yourself.

I have been running a 136" track in the mountains for several years now and this past year on my Nytro. The track I was running is 136x15x1.75 ski-doo hill-X.

We had progressive snow this year, it snowed everyday and it got deeper and deeper as the week went on. On our last day it was deep enough that for the first time I was limited as to where I could go, but my buddy that rented a RMK still got stuck more then I did LOL

I was very impressed with the 136" Nytro in the deep it worked just as well as my buddy's XTX did.

As for which extensions to go with, buy OFTs for sure. The quality can't be beat and the track tensioner system is much better then Yamahas. The OFT boys also have great customer service!

......also add a boggy wheel midway back to help with slider wear.

Sounds like the OFT 136 is the way to go... I guess we'll see how everything shakes out... thanks everyone for the input- its greatly appreciated
