installed 2 sets of wisco piston/rings
one set last year 1 qt every 100 miles
2200 miles
with 2 % 7 % 7 % 2% leak down
installed 2nd set and same 1qt in every 100 miles
will do leak down on 2nd set tonight
i use yamaha 0 30 oil
are the rings just not breaking in due to
yamaha oil
before i tear this down again any suggestions helpfull

Sounds like a problem with the oil control rings? Too low tension?

Did you send the block out for diamond honing before you put the low comp. pistons in?

I use Mobile 1 5w40 on all turbo and supecharged applications and yes I have diamond honing equipment a must with every new ring install. Have next to no oil consumption. Can hone yours if you you need

yes i had millenium re hone cyls and open up to
.003 piston to cyl clearance
rings file fitted to .017
did leak down last night
all 8% i had 2% the 1st time
