wow , i just don't know , had the carbs into a dealer and he checked and recleaned again for the 5 time this week.. now runs the same if i connect nomal ,,3000 rpm and will not take throttle just backfires,,, BUT , IF I JOIN THE WIRES FOR THE TORS , it scream at least 5000rpm at idle with the track spinning fast . any suggestions , i am lost with this one , must be getting old...

do you have your throttle cable adjusted right .....do you have any free play at the throttle lever.......should have some like 3mm or so ....I would check that first....take some pics and post them mounted in place so we can look and see whats going on get some close up ones

ok i will today . i have been sleeping on it and have tried every thing for 5 days , so now my mind is wandering !!! the only other thing i did to the sled since i brought it in to do the carbs is check and lube all the electrical connections because the sled sat idle for 3 years in a trailer or garage and some mice played house in there so i cleaned out all the debris and check the wires . now when the sled is at 3000 idle and i crack the throttle it back fires bad LIKE when we did change spark plug wires on old v8 cars and crossed the wires or had the timming real bad, ANY SUGGESTIONS WHERE TO LOOK ,,,POSS CROSSED WIRE OR RELAY , SOMTHING ???

I would bet you somehow got the throttle cable wrong somewhere backfire is cause of the tors i believe check and recheck the throtle cable. I dont think it would be an electrical prob. idle is all carbs on that no efi only gets rpm from getting fuel and air.

ok thanks all who helped , I app, had a bad week with this problem but i got it at last ..It was the TORS UNIT and now it runs great ..
